“We Are Fighting Homelessness” Campaign

Homelessness is more than the absence of the comforts of home. It is the presence of constant uncertainty, anxiety, and fear. It is absence of the ability to plan for the future or do little more than survive from day-to-day. It is a harsh existence, not a choice, and is rarely self-inflicted.

As you read this, there are more than 1,000 individuals and families without homes, without a bed to sleep in, without a kitchen to make morning coffee, without a porch to wave goodbye to their children as they leave for school, or a door to lock at night and feel safe.

A rise in the number of unsheltered homeless individuals, an increasingly widening gap between the need for low-income housing compared to the availability of housing, rising rental rates and other factors have pushed the need for housing to critical levels.

KCR is in the fight against homeless. It’s a battle we are committed to engaging and defeating. We provide shelter, we provide one-on-one case management, and a host of supportive services. We are in this fight but we need your help. Designate your financial gift today by selecting “Campaign Against Homelessness” on the KCR Donor Page. Thank you for donating now to the Campaign Against Homelessness.
